What happens

The visit, in four moves

01

We walk your home

Room by room, what actually bothers you about each window.

02

Samples in your light

Real fabric held against your own wall, trim and floor.

03

We measure

Every window, to the millimetre, recorded on the spot.

04

Your quote, before we leave

Itemised window by window. Nothing emailed days later.

Your part

Five things to have a view on

You don't need answers. Having thought about these is the difference between a visit that ends in a decision and one that ends in "let me think about it".

Which rooms?

Whole house, or start with the one that bothers you.

What's the job?

Light, privacy, blackout, warmth or looks — one word per room.

Who else decides?

If someone else's yes matters, have them there.

A rough number

Not a budget. A range, so we show three options, not thirty.

Any deadline?

Guests, a baby, a listing, Christmas. Say it at the start.

What we make, and where it belongs

The thing people wish they'd known

Finished windows usually have two things on them.

A blind on the glass for daytime light, and a curtain in front for night privacy, darkness and quiet. You don't have to do both now — but plan for it and the track goes in at the right height the first time, which makes the second half far cheaper later.

The look we build toward

What finished rooms look like

Level lines across a bank of windows. Tracks at the ceiling, not at the window head. The details are small and they're the whole difference.

Before you ask us

Questions people actually have

Is it free, and am I obligated to anything?

Yes, and no. Nobody signs anything to have us come out. You'll have a complete itemised quote in your hand when we leave, and what you do with it is up to you.

How long will you be in my house?

45 to 75 minutes for most homes. A whole house including curtains runs closer to two hours.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No. Just clear enough space to get a ladder and a tape to each window, and keep nervous pets in another room.

Will the colour match what I saw online?

Probably not exactly — screens shift colour and every house has different light. That's why we bring real fabric to your window. If it still isn't right once it's up, we sort it.

How soon is it installed?

Blinds are measured and installed within 7 days of your order. Curtains and drapery are made to order and take longer; you'll get the actual date at the appointment.

Do you remove my old blinds?

We take them down as part of the install. We aren't able to haul them away, so have a spot ready.

What's the deposit, and how do I pay?

50% books your order, the balance is due on completion. Card payments carry a 2.5% processing fee. 0% financing is available.

Will you still be here in ten years?

Fair thing to ask any small company. We run branches in Winnipeg and Calgary with a physical location in each, and the 10-year agreement is a signed document, not a handshake.

Anything you'd rather ask now?

Call or text before the appointment. We'll arrive already knowing what you're after.
